Pelican Cove Inn Supports the Kiwanis Club

The Pelican Cove Inn enjoyed hosting Kevin Dobson, of "Knot's Landing" and Kim and Chip McAllister from "The Amazing Race", as they donated their time to participate in the Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis Club Celebrity Gold Tournament on May 11th. The event was held at the Camp Pendleton Marine Memorial Golf Course and to see the various charities that benefit from the tournament, to to the Kiwanis Club's web site, http://www.oceansidepacific.org/ . We are glad we could donate the rooms and really appreciate that fact that the participating celebrities take the time out of their schedules to help raise money for such a worthy cause.

Sixteen Years and Counting.....

Kris and Nancy Nayudu have now owned and operated the Pelican Cove Inn for 16 years. Wow! Has time flown by. Through the years there have been some changes in the Village. Some new businesses have come in and others have gone. But, one thing remains the same; Carlsbad by the Sea is an incredible vacation destination that offers unique shopping, dining and glorious beaches all within walking distance of this very special bed and breakfast.

Enjoy Flavors of the Village Restaurant Week

The Carlsbad Village Association's Flavors of the Village will be kicking off in the Village of Carlsbad on Sunday May 16th with a 3 hour Restaurant Preview Tour. For $25 you can sample from over 20 participating restaurants. For tickets, you can contact Robin Young at 760-434-2553 or e-mail robin@shopcarlsbadvillage.org. Following the May 16th event, from May 17th to the 23rd, participating restaurants will offer a multi-course prix fixe value menu for $20, $30, or $40 for which you don't need tickets and you will pay the restaurant directly. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the wonderful eating options in the Village of Carlsbad. Bring your appetite and come enjoy the Village of Carlsbad.

Street Faire and Beach Fest May 2010

This past weekend was the Beach Fest and also the Carlsbad Village Faire. The sand sculpture on the beach was spectacular! The faire offered lots of art, crafts, food and unique goods. Definately worth making a weekend of the events! Carlsbad has two Village Faires every year. One the first Sunday of May and the second one the first Sunday of November. Put it on your calendar!!
