Del Mar Races Open Today!

Cool as ever. That is the tag line for the races in Del Mar and it is true! Enjoy ocean breezes and have a great time watching the horse races. There are usually events held in the evening to make it a full day of fun. Check out the calendar at http://www.dmtc.com for more information. Stay at Pelican Cove Inn and take the Coaster down to Solana Beach and catch the shuttle to the races. A great way to go without the headaches of traffic and parking. New Restaurant in Town


My husband and I tried the new restaurant that opened on the corner of Grand and Roosevelt Street here in Carlsbad.  So good!  Within walking distance from the Pelican Cove Inn.
This wheat pasta dish I had was terrific!  Very flavorful and light.  The pistachio gelato was a great ending to the meal.  Check it out next time you are in town!  www.cicciottis.com
